What this site is
Can I Subdivide? is a free referral service operated by Nebula Ventures LLC (PMB 582, 3229 Greenpoint Ave, Long Island City NY 11101, USA). When you send an enquiry, we pass it to one licensed Perth surveyor and/or one Perth builder that we select, depending on the goal you choose. We are not a surveyor, builder, planner, lawyer or financial adviser, and we don't carry out surveying or building work.
The checker is indicative only
Results are an automated reading of public WA Government map data and the Residential Design Codes. The data can be simplified, incomplete or out of date, and the result doesn't account for local planning policies, structure plans, easements, sewer, title details or the buildings on your lot. The proposed 2027 changes are proposals and may change or not proceed. Nothing on this site is planning, legal or financial advice, or a guarantee that a subdivision will be approved. Confirm with a licensed surveyor and your council before making decisions.
Your dealings with the business we introduce
Any agreement you make for surveying, building or other services is between you and that business. We aren't a party to it and aren't responsible for their advice, work, pricing, licensing or insurance. Please make your own checks before signing anything. In WA, building work worth more than $20,000 generally needs a registered building contractor, so ask for their registration number.
No cost, no obligation
Our service is free to you. You don't have to go ahead with anything. We may receive a referral fee from the business we introduce you to.
Using the site
Please give accurate information, use your own contact details, and don't misuse the site (for example, automated, bulk or fake lookups or submissions).
Map data
Cadastre data © Western Australian Land Information Authority (Landgate). Planning data from the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, via SLIP.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss arising from your use of the site or your dealings with any business we introduce.
